CRE Room (creroom.com) is a community for people who own, manage or broker commercial real estate. This page says what we collect, why, and who else handles it. Questions go to [email protected].

What we collect

Your account: your name, email address and a password, which we store only as a one-way hash. Anything you add to your profile: company, title, city, a short bio, LinkedIn and website links, and a photo.

What you tell us when you apply, so a person can review it.

What you post: posts, replies, chat messages, deal listings and the files and photos you upload.

Your activity: course progress, downloads, points, badges and which listings you request offering memorandums for.

Sign-in and security records: the IP address and browser of each signed-in session, and failed sign-in attempts, so we can stop password guessing and abuse.

Payments, once paid membership opens, are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.

How we use it

To run CRE Room: review applications and listings, show your profile and posts to other members, keep your progress, send the emails the service depends on (application decisions, password resets, notifications you have turned on), and keep the site secure. We do not sell personal information and we do not run advertising.

What other members see

Your profile, posts, replies, chat messages and approved listings are visible to signed-in members. When you request an offering memorandum, the lister sees your name and email.

Who else handles it

Amazon Web Services hosts the site, the database and uploaded files. Cloudflare sits in front of the site for security and runs the "verify you are human" check on our forms. Resend delivers our email. Stripe processes payments. Troy Muljat's Newsletter is published on Beehiiv, which keeps its own subscriber list under its own privacy policy.

Cookies

One cookie keeps you signed in. Cloudflare's human check may set what it needs to do its job. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account is open. Something you delete disappears from the site at once; uploaded files are then purged from storage within 30 days. To close your account and have your information deleted, email [email protected].

Your choices

You can see and correct your profile at any time on your profile page. You can ask us for a copy of your information, or to delete it, at [email protected]. Every newsletter email carries an unsubscribe link.

Age

CRE Room is for adults. It is not meant for anyone under 18.

Changes

When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
